The official soundtrack of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released on Dec. 18, the same day the highly-anticipated space film blasts into the theaters. The music was created by five-time Academy Award-winner John Williams, who knows his way around the franchise's galaxies and what music to play for more powerful scenes. 

"Williams' stirring, romantic compositions are a key component of the 'Star Wars' saga, and among the most well-known music in film history," a blog post on the franchise's website reads. "With new characters, worlds, and surprises on the horizon, the legacy of powerful, moving 'Star Wars' music continues." 

Those who want to get their copy of the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" soundtrack can now pre-order from Disney Music Emporium. The music collection is priced at $13.98. 

Meanwhile, in other related news, an action figure of an unknown character from the upcoming film was spotted. A fan in the Philippines came across a toy version of a character called a Gauvian Enforcer. It looks like a variation of wise-cracking Marvel hero Deadpool.

The description in the packaging of the action figure reads, "The security soldiers of the Guavian Gang wear high impact armor that makes them stand out from other deadly criminals."

The character, Slash Film points out, actually made an appearance in the film's behind-the-scenes trailer, precisely at the 2:20 mark. It remains to be seen what the Gauvian Gang will be up to but if this toy is anything to go by, they will be up to no good.
