An international trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" just emerged and in it are loads of new footage of the characters that further hint at the plot of the highly anticipated film. There are an awful lot of new scenes showing Rey and BB8. C3PO with his red left arm finally shows up as well.

Fans also see more of Chewbacca, a quick new shot of Leia and Poe Dameron. They are also treated to clips of TIE Fighters and X-wings in action. Rey is also seen checking out the wreckage of a ship in Jakku, where she, Finn and BB8 spent quite a lot of time.

There are also a lot of first meeting moments. Finn and Rey introduce themselves presumably on board the Millennium Falcon where Han is just standing nearby. In Jakku, Rey also meets BB8, whom she asks "Where do you come from?"

In this "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer, Rey can be heard saying "I know all about waiting... for my family," which Extreme Tech believes to be a hint about Rey being the daughter of Princess Leia and Han Solo, whose will to protect his family is reportedly the center of the film.

Another notable scene in the trailer is Kylo Ren pointing his menacing lightsaber on Rey, who, in turn, shakes in fear. In the previous trailer, it was Finn who was about to get a taste of the new baddie's weapon. During that particular scene, Finn had his own lightsaber while Kylo Ren had no mask on.

As what has always been said in the past few months, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is billed to see Rey on a similar journey as Luke Skywalker in the trilogy. This theory is just strengthened with a shot in the trailer of Rey tearing through Jakku, with the beautiful sunset and a couple of Jawas in the background.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits the silver screen Dec. 18.
