Just a month and a half left until the premiere of "The Last Jedi" and there are some questions that have yet to be answered. One of these questions is Benicio del Toro's character in the upcoming installment.

Marvel is about to release a new one-shot comic book soon, which would give everyone an insight into del Toro's character and what purpose he serves in "The Last Jedi." One of the writers in particular, Ben Blacker, revealed to StarWars.com about this one-shot comic with some details about the character.

So far, del Toro's character is known to be called "DJ," and director Rian Johnson has hinted that DJ will have an important role in the fight between the Resistance and the First Order. It is also known that he used to be an associate of Maz Kanata, who is now working for the Resistance after her castle was destroyed by the First Order in "The Force Awakens." Maz tells Finn and Rose where they can find him and they travel to see him in order to ask for his services.

So the only question is: In the grand scheme of things, where does DJ stand?

That question will be answered when the comic is released on Jan. 31, 2018, but Blacker was able to reveal some things about DJ. Blacker shared that DJ is a new character that will be introduced in the Star Wars universe and was created by Johnson for the eighth installment. He went on to say that the comic will reveal what DJ was doing before audiences will meet him in the movie as well as see things from his point of view.

Blacker also explained that DJ's point of view is a lot more complex and in a lot of ways, darker. From his explanation, it seems like DJ is going to serve as an anti-hero of sorts, having a perspective that has been hardened after experiencing what seems like a lifetime of war. So, it would be understandable to see that both the First Order and the Resistance might not give a good impression on him.

Apart from his hardened point of view and his associations with some characters, Blacker also revealed that DJ's story in the comic will take place on the planet that will be shown in the movie, a.k.a. Canto Bight.

In other news, Adam Driver, who plays Kylo Ren in the sequel trilogy, revealed a piece of advice that was given to him by the late Carrie Fisher. In an interview with GQ, Driver revealed that during the 2015 Comic-Con, the entire cast was in a conference room and discussing what will be happening during their panel. Fisher told Driver to pretend that he was down to earth because people love that.

"Just pretend you're down to earth. People love that s***," said the actress.

It goes without saying that Fisher had a big impact on her fellow co-stars, and Driver revealed that he was also greatly affected by the news of her death in the latter part of last year. Fisher was also someone who gave pieces of advice on the Star Wars set. Aside from Driver, Fisher also gave Daisy Ridley some advice, and in her case it was about dating.

General Leia Organa's story might not come to a close as cleanly as expected in "The Last Jedi." However, Johnson assured fans that the upcoming installment will see her kick some serious butt.

"Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" will premiere on Dec. 15.
