In the upcoming movie "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," Rey (Daisy Ridley) seemingly turns to the dark side as she asks the villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) for help to find her place in the grand scheme of things.

The new trailer for the "Star Wars" sequel was just released recently and showed Rey leaning towards the dark side in the company of Ren, the Empire's leader. She asked him, "I need someone to show me my place in all this." The scar-faced Ren looks at her then reaches out his hand to help her up from the ground. Rey is seemingly going through a moral crisis where the lines between good and evil appear blurred.

Earlier in the trailer, she goes through training with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) who notices her sheer power. When she spars with a huge rock with her lightsaber, her thrust of the weapon into the boulder causes the ground to crack open. "I have seen this raw strength only once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now," Skywalker said to Rey as he walks away in shock.

Did Skywalker reject Rey, which would explain why she went to Ren for help? It remains to be seen if Rey will go over to the dark side or not.

The trailer happened to reveal the porg creature, which is currently making waves on social media. The cute animal is similar to the puffins which are found in elevated land regions. The porgs are located on the island of Ahch-To.

Pabo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm explained, "They build nests. They can fly. Their babies are called porglets. You fall into those deep, soulful eyes. I think a lot of people are going to want a porg as a pet."

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will hit theaters nationwide on Friday, Dec. 15.
