"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is set to hit theaters this December. Apart from the mystery surrounding Rey's (Daisy Ridley) history and what Luke Skywalker's fate is going to be in the upcoming film, one of the burning questions that fans have is what happens now that The First Order has already destroyed The Republic.

During a special "The Last Jedi" panel at the Star Wars Celebration last week, director Rian Johnson teased the audience about how The First Order is going to make an impact on the upcoming film, even at the very beginning. According to him, losing the Starkiller Base will not stop them from causing galactic chaos and trying to conquer the entire galaxy.

"Well yeah, I mean Starkiller Base — big loss, big loss. But they did manage to take out the seat of the Republic, and that's thrown the galaxy into chaos," Johnson said, as reported by Screen Rant. "And The First Order are jumping on that at the beginning of our movie, very aggressively, not sitting on their hands. They're making some big moves at the start of our film, so things are gonna get dire," he added.

Meanwhile, in the same "The Last Jedi" panel, Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill caused a bit of shock when he accidentally revealed that Rey is Luke's daughter, as reported by Express. This has been quite a popular theory in the community, aside from another one that speculates Rey is a Kenobi.

After Hamill pointed at Johnson and calling him "god," he spoke of Ridley and almost said "my daughter," but quickly changed it to "my colleague," which made Johnson put a hand to his head, drawing laughter from the audience. However, Hamill is also known as a prankster, so this could have just been another one of his jokes, especially when he also referred to Finn (John Boyega) as his son after.
