Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte promo: Get an early dose with this code

Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte will have more pumpkin.Starbucks Official

The most anticipated seasonal beverage from Starbucks, the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL), is coming for fall this Sept. 8, but there's a way for lovers of the brew to get this drink earlier before it officially hits the stores.

The announcement was made on PSL's official Twitter handle and it stated, "If you want to get a PSL early, you need to create a #PSLFanPass! Just enter the super-secret password to get yours."

In order to get an earlier dose of PSL, one needs to follow the beverage on its Twitter handle @TheRealPSL to get updates on latte products.

PSL fans then need to visit the PSL Tumblr page and key in the secret passcode — one that's not so obvious — "pumpkin."

After providing the password, the page should ask for the person's phone number to be keyed in and a special pass will then be sent in a text message to the corresponding number if the Tumblr page is accessed via desktop.

If it's accessed from a mobile device, the special pass should pop up after entering the code.

The message containing the pass should be presented to a Starbucks barista, who will then prepare PSL before its official arrival.

As Us Weekly noted, this is not a hoax and the promo, which started on Sept. 4, works.

As stated in the official Starbucks page, Pumpkin Spice Latte is a signature, season-only beverage containing flavors of pumpkin, nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon — ingredients that provide a taste of the fall season.

Just this summer, the popular coffee shop announced that PSL would contain real pumpkin and no more of the caramel color.

This announcement came after Food Babe blogger Vani Hari criticized PSL last year because of its ingredients and how Starbucks was not so transparent about it, reports NBC.

"After feedback from our customers and partners, this year Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is crafted with real pumpkin, and is free of caramel coloring but with the same taste that customers have known and loved for over a decade," Starbucks announced in a statement.

The fall-favorite beverage will be available in almost 50 countries throughout America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
