The second expansion for the massively popular "StarCraft 2," known as "Legacy of the Void," will be released on Nov. 10.

News of the expansion's release date came directly from Blizzard. The company announced it during the final round of the StarCraft World Championship, Polygon reported.

As for what fans can expect from the upcoming expansion, "Legacy of the Void" will basically wrap up the trilogy of storyline perspectives for the game.

The original game, "StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty," showed the events from the perspective of the Terrans, while the first expansion, known as "Heart of the Swarm," allowed players to see things from the side of the Zerg.

This time around, the focus will shift to the Protoss.

Players will also get to see more of the epic battleship, the Spear of Adun, while they make their way through the campaign mode of "Legacy of the Void."

In addition to giving players a closer look at the Protoss, "Legacy of the Void" will also provide players with a resolution regarding what will ultimately happen to both the Terran's Jim Raynor and the Zerg's Kerrigan.

Outside of the new storyline, the latest expansion for "StarCraft 2" will also be adding a fair bit of content.

New automated tournaments, collaborative game modes and units will be coming to the game via the expansion, as well as the usual round of gameplay fixes.

Players will also have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to purchasing "Legacy of the Void," according to Digital Trends.

They can get the base digital version for $40 and unlock Artanis for "Heroes of the Storm." They can also opt for the $60 digital deluxe version, which will also unlock an Archon pet for "World of Warcraft" and a Void Speeder mount for "Heroes of the Storm." The last version, which would be the Collector's Edition, will provide players with a special edition DVD, a CD containing the game's soundtrack, and also a StarCraft Field Manual on top of everything already offered in the other two packages.
