People who love the farming simulation video game "Stardew Valley" are in for a treat in 2018. The brain behind the game revealed new contents to be added as part of the major update next year.

Video game creator Eric Barone, who goes by the nickname Concerned Ape, revealed new features to be added to the game. Barone took it to Twitter to announce that the game will have a new Winter Town Event. Barone enumerated, "new type of collection that you can start in yours first winter. Signs (can display any item on them). More outdoor decorations (some change w/ season). More NPC events. A way to re-spec professions."

Barone also confirmed that the update will be made available for PC, Mac, and Linux first and for consoles as well in a later date. Fans of the video game quickly commended Barone and the video game developer Chucklefish for their efforts to improve "Stardew Valley." One fan wrote, "Thank you for all the love and effort you put into Stardew Valley!" Barone nor Chucklefish has announced any exact date on when the new update will go live. Other than these new contents, gamers are also waiting for the much-anticipated addition of the multiplayer mode.

Chucklefish announced that the game will soon allow player-to-player marriage. "It's an idea we like a lot, and want to make available as a feature. Player-to-player marriage won't use the mermaid pendant, but rather an alternative method that requires a similar amount of effort of wooing an NPC," Chucklefish wrote.

Fans are also waiting for the multiplayer beta to be launched given that it was delayed until 2018.

The role-playing video game received impressive score ratings from video game critics. The video game was awarded a perfect score of 10 by Steam. "Stardew Valley" also got an 87 percent score rating from Metacritic.
