Recently, farming simulator game "Stardew Valley" announced that multiplayer would be arriving in the near future, sometime during 2018. They announced that it would be coming to PC and the consoles and that it would be changing the way people played the game. Not much else was revealed, but this Nov. 14, Concerned Ape (the game's developer) announced that single-player mode would be getting some updates as well.

The tweet stated:

"I'm working on some new Stardew Valley content, to be released with the upcoming free multiplayer update. This will affect single-player, too! I'll share more when the release gets closer. Though I'll keep some things secret (more fun)."

The announcement included a picture of a purple boat docked by what seemed to be "Stardew Valley's" beach area. Concerned Ape didn't say more, aside from the fact that the single-player update, similar to its multiplayer counterpart, would be coming to the PC and consoles as well.

The boat sparked some questions from excited fans everywhere, but it looks like, they will have to wait for the next update before their questions regarding the boat or the other things coming to single player will be answered. Will the boat allow players to travel to new places? Will the boat contain new characters from a distant land? Will the boat sell items or hand out quests? Everything is still up in the air, kept a secret like Concerned Ape wants it to be.

Meanwhile, the multiplayer updates are coming along well. Concerned Ape released a picture of the cabin he built in multiplayer mode on Nov. 8, alongside news that testing was "coming along great." When multiplayer mode is finally released, players will be able to live alongside their companions, build log cabins, and tend to the same farm.

"Stardew Valley" is currently playable on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
