"Staying active is a lifestyle, and a choice we make."

This was what Christian country singer Carrie Underwood tweeted as she promoted her lifestyle clothing brand CALIA by Carrie Underwood with Dick's Sporting Goods.

The new mother said in the YouTube video she shared that their motto is to "stay the path," and she loves how it inspires women to stay focused on their dreams and goals.

"We are on our own journeys in different places and different speeds and it's all about to keep going, to keep pushing yourself a little bit further. You've got to start somewhere and you'll feel better about yourself if you just stay the path," she said.

Underwood explained that her new clothing line was created by the need to provide women with transitional pieces that will get them from the gym to running errands. "I was just so excited...everybody just seemed to work well together," she enthused.

The singer added that Dick's Sporting Goods really understands women's needs and their bodies, so they created a clothing line that would provide a good balance in their lives.

"It's not all about the workout and it's not all about the cute little fluffy stuff. It's the kind of thing that you can basically wear all day. You can get done what you need to get done, and you can feel good and look good while doing it," she said.

Underwood also explained how they came up with the name CALIA. She said that they got it from the Greek word kalos, which means beauty. It can also be about the calla lily flower, which she describes as both beautiful and strong.

"That's what we already consider women to be. We just want to make them look as good on the outside as they do on the inside," she said.
