The annual Steam Winter Sale is now live, with substantial discounts on some of the year's favorite games.

Players can truly make the most of the holidays with the massive sale that also puts some great hits from previous years to up to 90 percent off.

Some of the offerings from this year's bestsellers include "Pyre," "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus," "Tacoma," "Prey," and "South Park: The Fractured But Whole," which are all at 50 percent off.

Adventure game "What Remains of Edith Finch" and platform action "SteamWorld Dig 2" are both 35 percent less.

Meantime, there is a 30 percent discount on "Middle Earth: Shadow of War," "Assassin's Creed: Origins," "Stardew Valley," and "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice."

The run and gun indie game "Cuphead" can be bought at 15 percent, less while the fantasy role-playing video game "Divinity: Original Sin II" is available at 10 percent off.

At a whopping 75 percent discount is the 2012 "Euro Truck Simulator 2" and the 2016 hit from the Naruto Shippuden franchise, "Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," as well as "Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" from 2014.

Other big hits from previous years that are in huge discount include "Inside," "Dark Souls III," and "The Witcher III."

The opening of the Steam Winter Sale also comes at the same time as the second annual Steam Awards, which started with the recognition for "Choices Matter." Currently, the award up for voting is "Mom's Spaghetti," or the horror-action games that make players so excited and thrilled that they forget to breathe.

For every category, players will be given 24 hours to cast their votes. Apart from being able to vote for their favorites, players will also get one trading card for every ballot cast. Note that browsing the discovery queue alone will also give players two trading cards per day for the entire duration of the sale.

The Steam Winter Sale will be open for two weeks, until Jan. 4, 1 p.m. EDT.
