With Cartoon Network confirming the renewal of "Steven Universe" for its third season, fans are wondering what would be in store for Season 3.

According to a post by Parent Herald, there is a strong possibility that they may take subtle jabs at censorship in Russia.

This theory spawned from a Reddit user noticing a gaping hole in the space on Earth where Russia should have been in the episode entitled "It Could Have Been Great" and "The Return."

Viewers theorized that this could be the series' way to criticizing Russia's censorship policy since the animated series had to undergo censorship before it is aired in foreign countries, with Russia being one of them.

On the other hand, it may all just have been a coincidence that had nothing to do with social issues at all but it simply could have been Homeworld just stealing an entire country so that they could make way for their own means like what they did in Season 1 with the "Cheeseburger Backpack. But what could this mean if they are able to steal or eliminate entire countries that easily? And why would they want Russia out of every other country they could choose from?

While there has been no news yet as to whether the series will follow its original release date of June for the season, it is expected that it will continue its storyline with the Summer of Steven which is projected for a June to August airing this 2016.

More good news, is that the recent renewal of the show assures that it be on air until Season 5 because of its dedicated following. In 2015, it earned the top spot as Tumblr's Most Animated TV Series.

Steven Universe is a fantasy animated series created by Rebecca Sugar, who previously worked on another Cartoon Network hit show Adventure Time, revolves around the lead character Steven who is being raised by three superheroic women.
