Fans have gone crazy again for "Stranger Things," as the dinosaur hoodie which one character wore in the series caused a buying frenzy in a museum sale.

The Science Museum of Minnesota's sales for the Brontosaurus "Thunder Lizard" logo hoodie, worn by Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), have amounted to as much as 18,000 at the time of writing, giving the museum a revenue of at least $600,000. The said sales figure was achieved in just a day, and the amount of web traffic that the museum's website experienced once the hoodie was launched caused the website to crash, forcing other customers to go the physical store.

The museum originally sold the hoodie as part of the mid-1980s traveling exhibit. Demand for the hoodie was so high that knockoffs have been made in order to capitalize on its popularity. The hoodie is a purple jacket with the skeleton of a Brontosaurus and was originally made back in 1986. The museum allegedly had trouble finding its own copy of the original hoodie and had to turn to Netflix in order to reproduce the design, using the network's copy instead.

In the end, it was worth it for the museum, as there were several long lines outside their physical store despite the online availability of the merchandise. The supplies were quickly sold out on Tuesday, Nov. 7, and the museum had to restock on Thursday.

It is worth noting that the hoodie's first appearance was in the museum's very own "Dinosaurs!" exhibit, where the now extinct creatures have been gaining much popularity, with about 270,000 people attending the 10-week run, a far cry from the museum's original projection of 135,000.

Of course, among the most popular souvenirs was the said hoodie which sold at $15.50 back then. Its modern counterpart, however, became significantly more popular due to "Stranger Things" and is now being sold at $33.

Those who want their own hoodie can visit the museum's website and order there while stocks last.
