After her sudden disappearance at the end of season 1, it is now confirmed that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will return to Hawkins, Indiana in the upcoming episodes of "Stranger Things" season 2.

The fan-favorite character's return had been confirmed after the show's Instagram account posted an upside down photo of the first official table read showing the entire cast of the show, with Brown sitting in the middle.

Brown will join the rest of the cast, including Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, and Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers.

Aside from the regular cast, "Stranger Things" season 2 will introduce three new characters upon its return in 2017. It includes a new female character named Max, which will be portrayed by Sadie Sink. The character is described as a hard-hitting and self-assured girl who possesses the qualities that are more common to the boys during the 1980s. Her edgy older brother, Billy, will also appear next season, and he will be portrayed by Dacre Montgomery. The third character named Roman is still being cast.

The plot for the second season of "Stranger Things" remains under wraps, but series creators the Duffer Brothers revealed during an interview with the Southern California Public Radio that the upcoming installment will be more exciting than the first. "A lot of Season 2 is next-level, some crazy stuff, but we must service these characters who are now beloved, who are known to the audience," the Duffer Brothers said in the interview as transcribed by Collider.

While the story of "Stranger Things" season 2 remains a mystery, Netflix already revealed the titles for all the nine episodes of the upcoming season through a teaser trailer. The titles include "Madmax," "The Boy Who Came Back to Life," "The Pumpkin Patch," "The Palace," "The Storm," "The Pollywog," "The Secret Cabin," "The Brain," and "The Lost Brother."

Netflix has yet to announce the official release date of "Stranger Things" season 2.
