Netflix original hit series "Stranger Things" is coming back next year for another season full of mind-twisting parallel universe plots along with the much-anticipated justice for Barb's (Shannon Purser) death. Unfortunately, some rumors suggest that the second season of "Stranger Things" will not be including one major character, the powerful Demogorgon conqueror Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

When season one of "Stranger Things" ended, Barb was last seen being left in the upside-down world, a fact that many fans frowned upon especially since Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) was rescued from the Upside Down.

Though many fans are rooting for Barb's return in "Stranger Things" season 2, the character's return is something that fans should no longer expect according to "Stranger Things" major actor David Harbour (who portrays Chief Hopper). "I can assure you Barb is very much dead," Harbour said.

However, "Stranger Things" co-creator Matt Duffer assured fans that justice will be served for the beloved character Barbs. "Stranger Things" season 2 would "make sure there's some justice for Barb," Duffer said. "We do deal with the loose ends in season 2," he added , "and we do deal with some of the internet rage over Barbs' death."

Despite Barb's definite farewell, the Duffer brothers have confirmed in an Entertainment Weekly interview that major characters from "Stranger Things" season 1 such as Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) will be coming back for season 2.

The Duffer brothers also hinted that new faces will be appearing in the second season of "Stranger Things." "There's going to be a lot of new and interesting dynamics that we didn't see in Season 1," the brothers teased.

Despite the return of familiar characters and the arrival of new ones, a season 2 comeback can not be said for "Stranger Things" major character Eleven.

"We leave that up in the air," says Ross Duffer when asked about Eleven's return in "Stranger Things" season 2.

Actress Brown is rumored to be absent from the second season of "Stranger Things" due to the actress' father, who has allegedly made some ridiculous demands regarding the child star's contracts and projects.

Though Eleven will not be making a return in "Stranger Things" season 2, Harbour added that "We feel like Eleven, or some form of Eleven, is still out there."

"Stranger Things" will be coming back with a nine-episode second season on Netflix sometime in 2017.
