The "Stranger Things" series is one of those shows that definitely took the world by storm with every season offering something entirely new. With the show being renewed for a third season, it is not surprising for more details to be dropped and rumors to be spread around. Latest reports say there will be fewer episodes for the upcoming season.

Season 1 had eight episodes while season 2 had 9. Season 3, on the other hand, will be back to only eight episodes. Although there is not much difference being only one episode short from the previous season, one episode is still nearly an hour long so that is an hour less of "Stranger Things."

Not much else is known about this third season let alone the arc or the plot it will have. However, there are still a lot of loose ends from the second season itself that a lot of people started having their own theories for the next seasons. Presumably, season 3 will continue on from the narrative.

A big reason for their inevitable delay is that the cast is mostly made up of kids. "Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They're going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting," says show creator Matt Duffer. "It provides certain challenges ... It forces the show to evolve and change because the kids are changing."

The show has so far received 18 Emmy nominations within the last five years and won five of them, as per ComingSoon.net. Rotten Tomatoes even rated them at a 94% for both seasons.

As for when the latest season will be out, it would surely not be out by this year. Although they wish it would be done by late 2018, it would be more probable for it to be released in 2019.
