The beta testing period for "Street Fighter 5" will now be further extended after the servers for the game have gone down yet again.

Beta testing for the game was taken down again last July 26 after Capcom had taken it down already the day prior due to persisting issues. According to Gamespot, problems with the "Street Fighter 5" beta have not been limited to the past few days at all, as the reported server issues have been present ever since the beta was first launched on July 23.

Capcom has already attempted to resolve the problems by repeatedly restarting the servers in an attempt to get them to function properly, but it has not worked thus far.

The problems regarding the beta for "Street Fighter 5" became even more troubling for Capcom given the timing. With the beta period scheduled to originally end on July 28, many people who pre-ordered the game expecting an opportunity to get a better look via the beta have been unable to do so because the servers were having troubles all throughout the weekend.

Due to the server problems, Capcom has also announced that they will be extending the beta period for "Street Fighter 5," according to Polygon. As of now, it is unclear just how many days Capcom plans to add to the beta period. Capcom had already said that they would extend the beta period back last Friday when the server glitches first became truly problematic.

The beta for "Street Fighter 5" briefly returned over the weekend, but it was quickly taken down due to too many players attempting to connect all at once.

Capcom is expected to follow through on its promise of extending the beta period, especially given their desire to try out the matchmaking algorithm and currency system they have made for "Street Fighter 5."

The problematic beta is only for the PlayStation 4 version of "Street Fighter 5." Another PC and PlayStation 4 beta is expected to be released before the end of the year.
