'Street Fighter 5' characters: Community feedback for upcoming new characters

Capcom's "Street Fighter V" still has a long way to go before it gets released to PC and consoles. For the time being, only three fighters have been announced as playable characters in the upcoming fighting game, namely Chun-Li, Charlie Nash, and Ryu. The developers are reportedly considering getting feedback from the gaming community in order to figure out which characters to add in the roster.

According to game producer Yoshinori Ono, as reported by Famitsu and translated by Shoryuken, the motivation for bringing in Charlie Nash for the upcoming title was the result of constant feedback coming from fans.  Charlie was introduced as one of the fighters that will be included in the upcoming fighting video game during the Capcom Cup Tournament that was held in December. However, the developers are not keen on placing Charlie and Guile in the same gaming title, presumably because both characters have similar moves and techniques when it comes to their fighting style.

In terms of gameplay, "Street Fighter V" will be employing the same 3D overview like its predecessor, "Street Fighter IV." However, the title will be made on Unreal Engine 4, which has been praised for its improved texture, lighting and character detail. "Tekken 7," which is another fighting game that will be released in 2015, is developed on the same engine.

While the gameplay mechanics will remain unchanged from the previous title, "Street Fighter V" will allow competitions to take place between two players on cross platforms. Simply stated, PC gamers will be able to challenge PS4 consoles owners in a one-on-one battle.

Similar to previous titles, players will be able to execute a chain of attacks and, by delivering and receiving damage, they will be able to increase the meter of their "special attack" bar. Once the meter reaches its limit, players will be able to initiate a signature move that will end up draining a large portion of the opponent's health (if executed properly).

Currently, Capcom has not given an official release date of the title.
