Capcom has previously discovered a risky file in the PC version of "Street Fighter 5." Now, they have released a tool to delete the file that could be a potential security risk.

The studio previously released an anti-cheat update that will prevent players from doing any hacking related activities for the game. The company is strict with its fair and balanced fight policy amongst its players. However, the update caused mayhem to gamers across several platforms. Now, Capcom has released a deletion tool for gamers to use on the PC platform.

The deletion tool will take away a file called "Capcom.sys.file Ver. 1.09," which made the game in inaccessible to PC users, permanently. Users who have downloaded the update Ver. 1.09 last Sept. 22 are required to download and run the tool. Registry entries will also be checked by the removal tool to ensure that no remnants of the last update will be left behind. A step-by-step guide was also provided by the company.

Capcom said, "We have decided to distribute the deletion tool as a bat file, so that users can see the source code and be assured that this file does not contain any harmful data. This also means that it would be very easy to manipulate the code to be used for malicious purposes. We ask that all users obtain and execute this file that they obtained through the Steam client. Obtaining this file through other sources can put you at risk of opening up your system to additional security risks. We ask that you do not download and execute files obtained by unknown sources."

Meanwhile, Capcom also announced that "Street Fighter 5" will have a Halloween-themed limited edition DLC that will bring in a new look for the Russian stage and seven new costumes for the game characters. For $2 or 40K Fight Money, in-game currency, players can have zombie Cossack dancers, gravestones, and jack-o-lanterns on their fight stage. On the other hand, the costume pack is $3.99 each, and every pack contains 10 color variants.
