Downloadable content DLC), particularly on-disc DLC, has been a contentious point for gamers in the past, and at the very least, it looks as though "Street Fighter 5" players will not have to worry about the latter when it comes to the upcoming fighting game.

In a recent interview with Game Revolution, "Street Fighter 5" producer Matt Dahlgren assured players that the upcoming game will not be featuring on-disc DLC.

Another fighting game, "Street Fighter X Tekken," famously featured on-disc DLC, meaning there were supposedly secret characters with their information already found in the game that simply weren't playable until players paid up and unlocked them.

To no one's surprise, the move irked a lot of fans and caused them to speak out about the presence of the on-disc DLC, according to Attack of the Fanboy.

Although Dahlgren does not specifically allude to the issue concerning "Street Fighter X Tekken" as it relates to the decision to omit on-disc DLC for "Street Fighter 5," it's still more than likely that the reaction to the move back then has factored into what Capcom is doing now.

Instead of certain characters being unlocked only after players paid for them, Capcom has indicated that some of the fighters in the game can be accessible as long as the fans have played it long enough.

In related news, the upcoming "Street Fighter 5" beta will reportedly not be limited only to the PlayStation 4 (PS4), according to IGN.

This time around, it appears Capcom has decided to feature the cross-platform capabilities of their new game by making it accessible for both personal computers (PCs) and the PlayStation 4 (PS4).

Capcom has also provided interested players with the minimum requirements needed to run "Street Fighter 5" on the PC so that the experience goes as well as expected.

The upcoming "Street Fighter 5" beta featuring cross-platform play does not have a launch date as of yet.
