The popular two-dimensional fighting game by Capcom, "Street Fighter 5," might have just taken a very serious blow. It has been reported that one of the game's biggest producers, Peter Rosas, has left the development team. Rosas made the official announcement last Friday on a Capcom-Unity post, which left many fans and video game aficionados in shock.

In a report by IGN, Rosas stated that he was definitely thankful for being able to be part of something that he truly loved, and in the process, achieved much success both as a producer and as a professionally competitive "Street Fighter" gamer. However, he also stated that "I feel it's time for the next generation to be able to do the same." This meant that he wanted the next generation of players to make their own way in the industry.

Given that statement, it seems that there is no bad blood or beef going on between Rosas and Capcom, and he has even graciously alluded to how confident he is in the future of the video game development company. According to Event Hub, Rosas was part of the whole development team of both "Street Fighter" and "Marvel vs. Capcom" for five years, before his eventual decision to leave the company.

Fans are probably more shocked that Rosas is moving on to other things. In his day, Rosas made a name for himself. He went by the in-game name "ComboFiend," wherein he specialized in rush-down styles of going against his opponents. At one point in his career, he was recruited by international e-sports team CompLexity and Gootlecks.

At this point, it is still unclear as to what Rosas is planning to do in the future after his decision to leave Capcom. However, it is clear that Rosas has full faith in the next generation of video game developers, and even recognizes their potential to innovate fighting games as gamers know it now.
