'Street Fighter 5' PC edition update: System requirements for game

Game company Capcom has denied previous rumors claiming that they will be developing a DLC for the upcoming "Street Fighter 5," but it has revealed the system requirements for the game's PC edition. 

 On Capcom's official blog, the game developer listed down the PC specs for the soon-to-be released fifth major installment in the "Street Fighter" franchise. The specs are categorized as "minimum" and "recommended," with the former required of a PC for it to be able to run the game, and the latter necessary for an optimal gaming experience.

The requirements are as follows: 

OS Version

  • Recommended: Windows 7 64-bit

Processor 

  • Minimum: Intel Core i3-4160 @ 3.60 GHz
  • Recommended: Intel Core i5-4690K @ 3.50 GHz

Memory

  • Minimum: 6 GB DDR3
  • Recommended: 8 GB DDR3

Graphics

  • Minimum: Nvidia GTX 480 (or higher)
  • Nvidia GTX 570 (or higher)
  • Nvidia GTX 670 (or higher)
  • Recommended: GTX 960

Network

  • Broadband Connection Required

DirectX Version

  • Minimum: DirectX 11
  • Recommended: DirectX 11

Sound Card

  • Minimum: DirectX compatible soundcard or onboard chipset

Based on the minimum system requirements set by Capcom for the PC edition of the game, "Street Fighter 5" is not as demanding as the other games' PC edition.

The side-scrolling fighting game will allegedly come with the EX gauge that was first used in "Street Fighter 3," which was released in 1997. This can be developed when the player stages an attack, and it can be used to improve the special moves or perform different types of super combos. 

"Street Fighter 5" will feature some of the iconic characters from the franchise, including Birdie, Cammy, Chun-Li, Karin, Ken, M. Bison, Nash, R. Mika, Ryu and Vega. There will be two new characters, too, namely the Aztec-inspired Necalli and the Middle Eastern Rashid. 

"Street Fighter 5" will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2016. It will also feature cross-platform play between the game console and the Microsoft Windows version of the game.
