The newest and first completely original character has now been officially unveiled for "Street Fighter 5," and his name is Necalli.

The latest introduction was made over the weekend during Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2015, according to PC Gamer.

Given the fact that Necalli is a completely new character, game developer and publisher Capcom Co., Ltd. has provided a detailed description of what the fans can expect from this newest member of the "Street Fighter 5" roster.

The first thing fans will likely be drawn to when they look at Necalli will be his hair. He has red dreadlocks, but his hairstyle is essential not just for allowing him to stand out, but also for allowing him to take down his opponents.

Necalli uses his hair in concert with his fists and feet when he attacks. He rounds out his arsenal of offensive moves with an array of different grabs and other martial arts maneuvers designed to incapacitate his foes.

Necalli's V-Skill lets him hit the ground with great force to create an impact that will send his opponents flying. For his V-Trigger, a mysterious energy begins to envelop Necalli, turning his hair into a bright red color and altering his personality.

Not much of anything was revealed about Necalli's background however, but Capcom is expected to fill in those blanks at some point prior to the release of "Street Fighter 5."

Necalli is one of the 16 characters who will be part of the launch roster for "Street Fighter 5," according to Polygon. With Necalli being the first of four completely original characters coming to the game, fans will now be awaiting the unveiling of the next three. At this point however, it is unclear if the other three will be part of the launch day lineup or if they will be added later on.

"Street Fighter 5" will be released for PlayStation 4 and personal computers (PCs) sometime in 2016.
