The latest installment in the "Street Fighter" franchise might come out next year.

In Capcom's blog post for the PAX East event, it said, "Everyone is fired up for Street Fighter V coming to the PS4 and PC." This has given rise to speculations that the game just might be released in spring 2016 for the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms.

The news about the development of "Street Fighter V" first came out last year when an announcement from PlayStation Experience mentioned that it will come out as a PlayStation 4-exclusive. During that time, Chun-Li, Ryu, as well as "Street Fighter Alpha" alum Charlie were the only characters that were confirmed to be featured in the upcoming game. But in a recent trailer that features new details of the game, M. Bison is seen joining the rest of the characters.

Early this year, GameSpot reported that the game developer plans to launch an online beta for "Street Fighter V" on PlayStation 4 and PC. It is reported as the "largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history," and it "will be essential to collect your feedback and to ensure that Street Fighter V is the best iteration yet."

The announcement came with a trailer, showing Charlie Nash, another returning character in the game, complete with his new look.

Players in North America can get access to the beta by pre-ordering the game. However, there are no dates provided for the launching of the beta, as well as the details about the duration of the beta phase.

However, IGN posted a recent update about "Street Fighter V's" release date when a spokesperson from Capcom confirmed that the game's launch schedule was listed as a tentative date. It might still take some time before the studio reveals the official release date of the game.
