'Street Fighter V' release date at E3 2015: what to expect

"Street Fighter V," the action-packed bloodshed-free fighter from Capcom, is easily one of the most anticipated brawling-centric titles this year. That said, the massive release would not skip the biggest gaming convention there is, the Electronic Entertainment Expo set to take place this June. Producer Yoshinori Ono, if his latest tweet is to go by, would also not miss playing the title for the world.

Updating his followers on Twitter, Ono posted that "Street Fighter V" is "so looking good," adding two exclamation points at the end for conviction. The producer reveled on how the PS4-exclusive is shaping up and professed his love for the game, and with the addition of a smiley sticking its tongue out, expressed how proud he is of his team in crafting the stellar-sounding installment.

In the same tweet, Ono exclaimed that he "can't wait for E3," confirming that "Street Fighter V" is taking over the Los Angeles Convention Center stage next month. This also means that it won't be long before players set foot on the "Street Fighter" arena.

As for the title's actual release date, Capcom confirmed via its latest earnings report that gamers will see the installment when its current fiscal year ends. That's March 31, 2016, which is very close to the speculated April 2016 release date. Capcom also expects that by that time, two million copies of "Street Fighter V," both physical and digital, would have been sold.

The game will undergo a beta, which the maker touts as the "largest and most ambitious" among all of the online beta tests held for the franchise. Players can take part in this record-breaking and history-defining event by pre-ordering "Street Fighter V." A date for the beta, sad to say, has not been disclosed yet.

For now, gamers know that the game will only be available for PS4 and PC gamers, who, in turn, will get to enjoy a new cross-platform gameplay.
