'Street Fighter 5' beta test details: what to know

The details about the scheduled beta test for "Street Fighter V" was briefly discussed during Sony's press event at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015. Now, game company Capcom finally revealed the full guide to let players know how to qualify as beta testers. 

According to the game developer, players from the United States and Canada can get the beta keys by pre-ordering the upcoming fighting game from exclusive retailers such as PlayStation Network, Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. Those who will order the game in advance will get an email containing the key from their chosen retailer, except PSN, starting July 20. Meanwhile, those who will pre-order on PSN do not have to receive an email since the beta key can be automatically downloaded on July 20. 

For players in Latin American countries, the beta keys can be received after pre-ordering "Street Fighter V" through the PlayStation Network, and it will be automatically downloadable on July 20. 

On the other hand, those in Europe and other parts of the world, including Oman, Qatar, Romania , Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom can sign-up for a chance to join the beta program through the PlayStation Network until July 15. Those who will be selected will receive an email on July 23 to learn how to get their beta redemption key. 

PlayStation Plus subscribers from selected Asian countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong can also apply for a "Street Fighter V" beta test access by downloading the "Street Fighter V Closed Beta Test Ticket" at the PlayStation Store starting July 9 up to July 14. Those who will be picked will get notifications beginning July 21. 

Additionally, PlayStation Plus members in Japan can also apply for beta access by getting the "Street Fighter V Closed Beta Test Ticket" at the PlayStation Store starting July 8 up to July 13. Those who will be selected to join the beta phase will also receive their notifications starting July 21. 

The "Street Fighter V" beta test will begin on July 23. 

In other news, Capcom confirmed that they will be present at the 2015 Anime Expo from July 2 to 5 to present "Street Fighter V" in front of the audience inside the Los Angeles Convention Center.
