Subaru Impreza is reportedly getting a new face before the year ends and will become a 2017 car model.

The new model, dubbed as "Impreza 5-Door Concept," was unveiled last Oct. 28 during the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015.

In the press release from Subaru makers, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., the company acknowledged that the 5-Door concept is a preview for the future 2017 Subaru Impreza hatchback and the car will bear the "Dynamic and Solid" seen in Subaru vehicles. Furthermore, the concept does not speak only for the upcoming generation of the Impreza but also for future models of Subaru.

For the main specifications, the new Impreza will have an overall length of 4,400 millimeters, about 173 inches long, and a width of 1,880 and height of 1,440 millimeters, equivalent to 74 and 56.7 inches, respectively.

On the front are the signature hawk-eye headlights and the rear portion of the vehicle offers combination lights that carry the same Subaru hawk-eye styling.

The Impreza also carries the sporty appeal with its "Wide & Low" stance, all thanks to the wide wheel arches and the large wheels.

Overall, the new concept delivers a more mature and sharper design compared to the Impreza models that are currently seen in dealerships.

Digital Trends also noted that the car has a wider body as well. The car is given a vibrant silver finish to give it a meaner and more metallic appeal.

Not much has been shared as to what's under the hood, but it's likely that the new generation will not stray far from the current Impreza.

It is also likely that the new Impreza will have a two-liter four-cylinder engine and will be offered with manual or automatic transmissions.

The all-new Subaru Impreza is expected to be unveiled in 2016's New York auto show, which will be held in late March, according to Car and Driver. It is also expected to hit dealerships late next year as a 2017 model.
