One of the titles included in DC Films' slate is the sequel to "Suicide Squad." Although not much is known about the upcoming movie, especially its plot, there have been reports saying that production will start in the latter part of next year.

According to Omega Underground, the sequel to the Academy Award-winning film will begin production in October 2018. This follows previous reports that said filming for the second installment would commence in March 2018, despite the schedule clashing with some of Will Smith's other projects. Smith plays Deadshot in the franchise.

Having to start filming around October 2018 would be the more realistic choice, seeing as there are other films in the DC Extended Universe that are also scheduled to start filming next year, such as "Shazam!" The sequel to "Wonder Woman" is also rumored to begin production next summer. That being said, "Wonder Woman 2" would already be done with principal photography come October, which leaves more than enough room for "Suicide Squad 2."

The upcoming sequel will be written and directed by Gavin O'Connor.

Meanwhile, although the first "Suicide Squad" movie brought in divided opinions, there is one thing many can agree on — their take on Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie. Even with an extended cut of the movie now available, there are some parts, and in Harley Quinn's case, some looks that were left on the cutting room floor.

Philip Maldonado, who was one of the costumers on the film, shared a photo of Harley Quinn posing for a mug shot in a sequence that did not make the theatrical or even extended cut. In the photo, Harley is wearing a red and blue netting outfit with a bright blue jacket tied around her waist. She is sporting her signature red and blue hair as well.
