"Suits" season 5 episode 10 ended with a sudden game-changing cliffhanger when Mike (Patrick J. Adams) was suddenly arrested. In a previous interview with Yahoo! TV, series creator Aaron Korsh revealed that the episodes coming after the mid-season break will start right where the series left off without the need for a time jump.

Fans speculated that a time jump might be utilized to speed up the pace, using flashbacks to tell the events that took place in between the mid-season finale and episode 11. However, Korsh explained that in the end he and the rest of the developers decided to pick things up just moments following the episode 10 events.

"We went around and around with that. We really thought about a time jump, but we ended up landing on our standard practice of moments later. Mike is on the hot seat, so is everybody else in the back six," he explained in the interview. "We'd been dancing around this thing forever."

Mike's secret has been kept for the majority of five seasons now, which roughly translates to five or so years. Korsh stated that as they were developing the story for season 5, they discovered that a woman in real life had also achieved the feat of being a lawyer without going to law school and did it for an even longer period than Mike before she got caught.

Korsh also explained that episode 11 would officially titled "Blowback," hinting that all the consequences of Mike's secret will unfold. Not only will Mike be in trouble for working as a lawyer without ever going through law school, which is why he was charged for conspiring to commit fraud, but the whole Pearson Specter Litt law firm will get in trouble.

This is also evident in the promotional trailer for the episode, where it is mentioned that "everything has consequences" and the whole law firm might be facing conspiracy charges. However, fans speculate that someone, perhaps even a new character, may swoop in to save the day.
