"Suits" season 5 won't return until next year, which means the mystery that surrounds the person behind Mike's arrest for fraud won't be revealed anytime soon. Unfortunately, even when the show does come back on air, the identity of that person won't be revealed right away.

Showrunner Aaron Korsh initially had no plan on exploring who turned Mike in "Suits" season 5. He realized that he had to because more and more people are asking him about it. He decided to tackle it eventually, but it doesn't seem like a priority to him.

"In real life you might never know who did it. The bigger question is: what are we going to do about it?" he told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're not going to find out in [episode] 511, but we will find out down the line," he went on to say.

Sadly, Korsh did not have concrete clues to give about the identity of the whistleblower. "It could have been any one of them. Or, it could have been someone who found out who hadn't known before. It could have been a friend, foe, a neutral party or someone who has never even met Mike."

There are a lot of speculations and theories about who grassed up Mike but majority of them point the finger at the parents of his own fiancée Rachel. Upon learning Mike's secret, the Zanes could simply be protecting their daughter, making sure she won't end up with a fraud.

"We went through the whole gamut and landed on someone I liked," Korsh said on mapping out where in the season 5 storyline the whistleblower will eventually lead viewers. While it "necessarily poetic," as Korsh admitted, the showrunner said that he is simply aiming for a new reaction from the audience.

"Suits" season 5 will air episode 11 titled "Blowback" next year.
