Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) will find himself dealing with one tough prosecutor when the hit USA Network series "Suits" returns for the second half of its fifth season.

In episode 11 titled "Blowback," the promo introduces Assistant U.S. Attorney Anita Gibbs, a ruthless prosecutor who will make sure justice will be served in the fraud case against Mike. The clip shows her warning the lawyer that he is facing the person who will put him in jail. According to Gibbs, Mike should never forget he committed fraud every time he signed his name on a letter, much less answer a phone. She also taunts Mike that he should not be delusional, thinking that people are rushing to bail him out.

USA has tapped actress Leslie Hope for the role. Ross told The Hollywood Reporter that Gibbs is an interesting character. He cautions viewers that they may see her as a villain by investigating Mike, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), and their firm. The actor said she's not the bad guy in the series, as she would be doing the right thing.

"Gibbs is a fascinating character because you want to take her for the villain in this story; she's coming after these characters that hopefully by this point our fans know and love. But at the same time she's doing something in the right. Mike Ross and Harvey Specter have pulled the wool over the eyes of all the people that they've worked for," Ross said.

Meanwhile, showrunner Aaron Korsh shared that the midseason premiere would pick up the events in the summer finale. He said that Mike's arrest would have consequences for people working in Pearson Specter Litt, and that everyone would rally to save the firm's reputation. The evidence against Mike was reportedly strong and that they would have a tough time defending him.

"Suits" season 5 will return on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
