"Suits" actress Meghan Markle has received a warm welcome from the Royal Family, but her ancestors were not so fortunate.

As revealed by Telegraph, a study into the actress' lineage revealed that one of her ancestors was beheaded by King Henry VIII, which also led to his wealth and land being confiscated.

Lord Hussey was the first Baron Hussey of Sleaford, who also happens to be the great-great-great grandfather of Captain Christopher Hussey, who left England back in the 1650's. Captain Christopher Hussey would then become one of the Founding Fathers of Nantucket. After 10 generations, in a new family tree in America, was Thomas W. Markle, who married Doria Ragland, and gave birth to the actress in 1981.

Ever since she was revealed as the girlfriend of Prince Harry, her family tree has already been looked into by documentaries and newspapers as their romance progressed. Markle and Prince Harry have long been rumored to be engaged, followed by revelations that some of her paternal ancestors came from the coal mining areas in Yorkshire, while her maternal ancestors were traced back to a slave whom was forced to work on the plantations in Georgia before being emancipated with the abolition of slavery back in 1865.

It is claimed that the actress and the Prince are distant cousins through a mutual ancestor: High Sheriff of County Durham Ralph Bowes, who was born in 1480.

This look into her heritage and family tree follows the heavy speculations that Markle would potentially become the next "commoner" to marry into the Royal Family due to her relationship with the Prince.

Prince Harry was the first from the couple to confirm their romance. Back in September, Markle then also confirmed their relationship through an interview with Vanity Fair. The Prince is the fifth in line to the throne until the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is born, and must ask the Queen's permission before getting married.

As revealed by US Weekly, Markle will be leaving "Suits" after its seventh season alongside co-star Patrick J. Adams. Her exit follows rumors that the actress will be leaving the show to permanently move to the U.K. and formally announce her engagement to Prince Harry.

Apart from leaving "Suits," Markle has also closed her lifestyle blog and has reportedly ended her advertising contracts before she makes the move to the U.K.
