Sunday Night Football: Bengals vs Patriots [Preview]

Sunday Night Football this week will take place between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots. The game is scheduled to take place at the Gillette Stadium, and should be an intriguing games between two very talented sides that have experienced very different openings to the new season.

Today's big NFL Sunday Night Football game will start at 8.30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast live on the NBC network. However, the game from Foxborough will also be available to watch online through live stream – free for subscribers – via the link provided below.

The Bengals come into this game on 3-0 and have been as impressive as any other team so far through the opening month of the season. They have been efficient, and at times devastating in offense, and will believe they can pile on the misery for the Patriots in today's game.

New England meanwhile have had a tough start to the season. They seem uncertain whether they will push on a comfortably gain a postseason berth as most expected, or whether they will struggle either side of .500 and try and sneak into the Playoffs.

They are 2-2 coming into this Week 5 match up, and are reeling after being embarrassed by the Kansas City Chiefs 14-41 on Monday Night Football.

If the Patriots suffer a second straight blow out on national TV then it could spark panic and doubt in the camp, which already is looking a little uncertain of itself.

Bengals fans will be hugely optimistic at this point, but will see this game as a measuring stick to see just how good they are this season. If they can take down a team of the caliber of New England, then they arguably can push any team in the league this season. However, oppositely if they suffer their first loss today, it would bring them crashing back down to earth, and would make it clear they still have a lot of work to do before they start thinking about the postseason and a potential run for the Super Bowl.
