Sunday Night Football live stream: Watch online Broncos vs Patriots [NBC start time, preview]

Sunday Night Football will see the Denver Broncos go on the road to take on the New England Patriots in a huge clash tonight. The Broncos successfully regained the lead at the top of the AFC West division after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs last week. They now have the chance to gain some breathing room at the top with a win today.

Tonight's game will start at 8.30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on the NBC network. Alternatively the game can be watched online through live stream – free for Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers – via the link provided below.

Coming into this weekend the Denver Broncos were tied for top on 9-1 with the Kansas City Chiefs following their win last week. However, the Chiefs lost again earlier on Sunday, 38-41 to the San Diego Chargers, and that has now opened the way for the Broncos to exert their superiority at the top of the division and gain sole possession of the top spot.

If the Broncos can win tonight against the Patriots they will be able to go on the road next week to Kansas City for their return game against the Chiefs, full of confidence that they can gain the win that will surely guarantee them the AFC West division title.

The Patriots are looking increasingly comfortable at the top of the AFC East. They are the only team on .500 or above, with their nearest rivals, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins both being on 5-6 now. The Patriots are on 7-3 currently and will be relatively confident that they will now see out the rest of the season easily to gain the title.

New England will start to put one eye on the postseason's preparations now, and they will want to give their everything to give a Super Bowl a crack this year. However, they have a lot of things to sort out before they can be considered as true Super Bowl contenders, as they have had too many clear frailties this season so far. A win today against the Broncos would give them huge confidence and would turn heads across the NFL that they are indeed a team to avoid moving into the playoffs.
