Sunday Night Football: Patriots vs Chargers (NBC TV schedule)

Sunday Night Football takes place tonight between the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers at the Qualcomm Stadium in California. The Patriots are hoping to wrap up the No. 1 seed spot in the AFC in the coming weeks, but will need a win today against a strong Chargers team to help them on the way.

NFL Sunday Night Football will start at 8.30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on TV on the NBC network. The game can also be watched online through live stream - free for subscribers - via the link provided below.

Coming into this weekend's NFL games, the Patriots are occupying the 1st seed spot in the AFC, but things are too close for comfort, with the Denver Broncos in 2nd, also on 9-3.

The San Diego Chargers can also throw themselves right in the mix with a win today. They are currently 8-4, but a win would put them tied with the Patriots on 9-4 with just two weeks of the regular season to go.

The Chargers are in winning form, although they have had to grind out results in recent weeks; they defeated the Oakland Raiders 13-6, the St Louis Rams 27-24, and the Baltimore Ravens 34-33.

The Patriots are expected to be too much for them today, but if the Chargers can keep the game close going into the second half then they will believe they have a chance to again grind out a result.

The Chargers have a tough run in to the season, and they will have to defeat two of the best teams in the NFL if they are to confirm a postseason spot. Today they play the Patriots, and next week they will host the Denver Broncos. They will finish up their regular season going on the road to the San Francisco 49ers.
