The action-maze game "Super Bomberman R" on the Nintendo Switch console gets new contents, characters, levels, and accessories for free, aside from the improvements noted in the 1.3 patch update.

On Friday, Konami rolled out several surprises for players of "Super Bomberman R."

For one, players can enjoy four new stages in the game, namely the Lagoon, where there are moving floors; the Max Speed, which features obstacles of slippery floors; the Power Zone, where players start with maximum firepower; and the White Cross, where players start with a maximum speed. Another new item added to the game are two latest accessories, namely a crown and a bomb.

Aside from these, players can now enjoy the game more seamlessly, as the battle mode has been enhanced. Particularly, the game is now at 60 frames per second, which means that the game should bring in smoother experience.

In addition, those who want more challenge can adjust the artificial intelligence (AI) difficulty. For instance, the strength of the Five Dastardly Bombers in the story mode has been modified. The difficulty levels in the beginner and normal modes have also been adjusted so that it will be easier for players to beat the AI opponents.

As for those who want a different view, they can now adjust the camera angle in the story mode. Adjustments have also been made to the height and slope of some maps in order to provide more visibility.

Other tweaks included in the "Super Bomberman R" 1.3 patch update pertain to fixes in the overall gaming experience. With the new update, there should be less lag in the game, especially if the participants in the Online Battle all have good network connection. The recent update has also fixed other bugs in the game.

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to new characters, particularly Vic Viper from "Gradius," Belmont from "Castlevania," and the Pyramid Head from "Silent Hill," coming to "Super Bomberman R" at a later date.
