Apart from the ultimate face-off between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos for the championship, another portion people will tune in for in Super Bowl 50 is the halftime show, which is expected to be one big spectacle this year.

British rock band Coldplay will be headlining the show, and with the help of director Hamish Hamilton, the group will remember the annual celebration's past, relish the glory it has today and look forward to greater wonder in the future.

Coldplay seems to have long prepared for this moment. Prior to being chosen as the main act for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin revealed to The Guardian that they watched the previous performances for Super Bowl "many times."

The group added that the show they will put out will make viewers and spectators feel like they are watching a gig at Glastonbury festival. Helping them deliver a memorable 12-minute mini-concert are music heavyweights Beyonce and Bruno Mars.

Coldplay will be performing their song "Hymn for the Weekend" from their seventh studio album, "A Head Full of Dreams," with the help of Queen Bey. At some point in the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, the "Uptown Funk" singer will join them.

The killer lineup is certainly getting fans hyped up and on tenterhooks for what is said to be a massive showcase of talent in one stage. Super Bowl fans will remember that the 2013 halftime show was headlined by Beyonce while 2014 saw Mars light up the stage.

"Are you kidding me? It's the greatest moment of our band's life. We're going to give it everything we have," Martin said while promoting the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, as quoted by E! Online. 

The Super Bowl 50 will be broadcasted live from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on CBS tomorrow, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
