An NES Remix-inspired level is now in "Super Mario Maker."

The special NES Remix event course was added in Nintendo's new side-scrolling platform game creation system in line with the game studio's Black Friday offering. The course was made to recreate the challenges in the compilation video game series developed for Nintendo Wii U.

NintendoLife posted the official overview of the game's latest addition, which reads:

"Become the world's greatest NES master! In the NES Remix series, a variety of classic Nintendo Entertainment System games are given a new lease on life. This course gives you a taste of the Remix Stages from that series, where you can play old games with a new twist! Enjoy rushing ahead with a Super Star or experiencing a course in reverse!"

The new "Super Mario Maker" feature will also offer the Frog Mario costume that was introduced in "Super Mario Bros. 3." The iconic suit will serve as the reward for completing the NES Remix event.

Based on the trailer for the new level addition, the NES Remix event is extremely easy and it can be finished in little time.

However, the trailer for the new "Super Mario Maker" feature revealed that the Frog Suit will not come with its special powers like increased underwater speed and improved jumping height. This means that the Frog Mario costume is only added for cosmetic purposes.

Nintendo also released a free update in early November, where users can include mid-level checkpoints known as flags in the game's maps. This means that players will no longer have to return to the beginning if their character died in a particular level.

The update also introduced several Course World categories created by third-party creators. These include the Ship Love level featured in the Event Course tab, which also happens to be the first "Super Mario Maker" level made in the U.S.
