To celebrate the release of "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo released a special Mario Kart buildings on its super popular "Super Mario Run" mobile game yesterday, Friday, April 28.

Nintendo of America revealed the announcement through Twitter, saying the side-scrolling "Super Mario Run" will "introduce special Mario Kart buildings" beginning 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. EDT / 8am UK / 5pm AET on the said date.

According to reports, "Super Mario Run" will be releasing special in-game gifts that range from deluxe buildings and decorations until Thursday, May 11, to commemorate the special "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" launch event.

However, the game developer did not reveal what kind of buildings and decorations they will release for the Kingdom Builder of "Super Mario Run." Nintendo also reworked the game's Battle Mode that was made like the past "Mario Kart" games. In the revised Battle Mode, players will have to drive all over an enclosed arena and launch an attack to their enemies. The game will also feature eight new arenas and some gameplay modes.

On the other hand, the "Super Mario Run" game was released by the game developer for free download on iOS in December 2016, while Android users got their hands on the game in March 2017. But while the game can be downloaded for free, players must make a one-time payment of $9.99 to enjoy playing all the stages of the game.
