'Super Smash Bros.' DLC: Corrin and Bayonetta February release date

Nintendo

Nintendo has officially announced when Bayonetta and Corrin will become official playable characters in "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS. The company also provided details about the release of Mii Fighter costumes to the titles.

On Twitter, Nintendo announced that the characters from "Bayonetta" and "Fire Emblem," respectively, will be added to the game "in the afternoon" of Feb. 3. There's no mention of the exact hour they will drop so fans should keep their eyes peeled.

Bayonetta hails from the third-person action video game franchise of the same name. The gun-wielding fighter will come to "Super Smash Bros." with her own Umbral Clock Tower stage. Players can purchase the character for $5.99 for the Wii U or the 3DS and $6.99 for both.

Corrin, meanwhile, is the latest "Fire Emblem" character to grace the brawler. She does not come with a stage of her own, which lowers the tag price for one system to only $4.99. Players are to add $1 to purchase the character for both 3DS and Wii U.

Being official "Super Smash Bros." characters soon, Bayonetta and Corrin will also get Amiibo versions. There's no accessible information regarding the release date of the figurines but fans should here about this aspect soon.

Gamerant, however, believes that the Bayonetta and Corrin Amiibo will be out by summer at the earliest. This is because the Amiibo for Ryu and Roy, who were added in "Super Smash Bros." a couple of months back, won't be out until March 18.

Meanwhile, the sixth wave of Mii Fighter costumes will also be released on Feb. 3. The outfits are of Ashley from "WarioWare," Gil from the "Tower of Duraga," Tails and Knuckles from "Sonic the Hedgehog," Takamaru from "Nazo no Murasame-jo" and Bionic Armor.

The set is priced at $4.50 for one system and $6.90 for both. They are also bundled with Corrin and Bayonetta for $15.48 for either 3DS or Wii U and $19.88 for both.
