In the next episode of "Supergirl," Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) goes with J'onn J'onzz a.k.a. Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) to Mars on a mission.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Far From the Tree" was just released recently and showed Kara accompanying J'onzz on his space ship and going to his home planet Mars. They hurtle across space and arrive on the war-ravaged planet. He meets his friend M'gann M'orzz (Sharon Leal) and tells her that he is the only Green Martian left in his race. However, M'orzz replies, "No. There is another one." J'onzz always thought that he was the last one of his species to be alive. All his fellow Green Martians died in a not-so-distant war when their population was attacked by the White Martians. Only J'onzz was able to escape the bloodshed.

Nevertheless, being back again on Mars, J'onzz finds out that the other living survivor and fellow Green Martian is none other than his father. J'onzz appears before him and says, "It's me, father." It remains to be seen how their interaction will play out and why it was only revealed now to J'onzz about his dad.

In the last episode, Supergirl went up against the villain Psi (Yael Grobglas) who used her psychic powers to attack. Her mental blasts made Kara fearful and lose her bearings. Even with super-strength, she was reduced to nothing when her fears overpowered her state of mind.

Nevertheless, Supergirl was able to bounce back when her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) gave her an inspirational talk and told her to overcome her fears. She faced off again with Psi who could not defeat her with her mind blasts. Psi was knocked out and brought to justice.

"Supergirl" season 3 episode 3 will air on Monday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
