'Supergirl' season 3 spoilers: EP reveals how James really feel about working with Lena

Fans saw plenty of new things when "Supergirl" season 3 premiered, including the new owner of CatCo. As revealed in the pilot episode, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) ended up buying the company to keep it from the hands of the new villain, Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar).

Things are seemingly well, except that the media empire is currently run by James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) who has a long history with another Luthor. Fans have been wondering how James will react to that CatCo twist. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brooks revealed that his character will not be too quick to trust anyone who is a Luthor.

"That's complicated," Brooks told the publication. "Being who James is, he tries to give everybody a second chance or fresh start. However, there's always this skepticism in the back of his head. She's a Luthor."

James is the best friend of Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin), aka Superman. Knowing that the new owner of the company he works for is related to Lex Luthor (younger version played by Aidan Fink), who has attempted to kill his best friend over and over again; it makes sense that he is skeptical.

"Is she purposely doing this or that? James is probably the most skeptical of all out of everyone," Brooks continued. "The rest of them don't know Lex, at least not the way I do."

While it is expected for the two to butt heads at work, the real problem this season is the new villain, Edge. Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg told TV Line that Pasdar's character is Lena's real nemesis. According to him, the media mogul hates the Lex's sister and he is out to get her.

Morgan will be seen in several episodes this season, most of which will be with McGrath's character.

"Supergirl" season 3 episode 2, titled "Triggers," airs on Monday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
