After finding a suitable actress to take on the role of Kara aka Supergirl in Melissa Benoist, the next order of business was to find a suitable villain to kick off the Supergirl series for CBS. And now that villain has been named.

Chosen to be the pilot villain for the pilot telecast of Supergirl this coming fall is Lumberjack. Lumberjack is a villain who made his first and reportedly only appearance on one of Wonder Woman comic episodes.

While Lumberjack is not as popular or as familiar as villain Lex Luthor, it should be equally interesting how he would spread his villainous acts. But before that happens, a suitable actor is needed.

The ideal person to play the role will reportedly need a similar physique like that of Rory McCann.

As for the story proper, Supergirl will narrate how Kara is able to put her super powers to good use. After practically hiding all her life, a mature Kara tries to do something that she has long been wanting – put her superhero abilities to good use.

Her powers are of course practically the same as her cousin, Superman. There are rumors saying that Superman could be making cameo appearances, particularly in the pilot episode. While such would make sense considering Supergirl's first adversary is a nemesis of Superman, it remains to be seen if Kara's cousin would show up occasionally through the course of the series.

The new 'Supergirl' series is another brainchild of executive producer Greg Berlanti, the same person who is behind other superhero flick TV series, 'Arrow' and 'The Flash.'
