'Supernatural' season 11 episode 13: Sam and Dean deal with a cursed kiss

The CW

"Supernatural" season 11 episode 13 will be this season's Valentine's Day special and will involve the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), dealing with a series of murders that are linked by an ancient curse.

According to the official synopsis from Cartermatt, the brothers get wrapped into the case when they realize that a series of murders are more than what they seem and later discover that they are dealing with the supernatural. The creature they will be dealing with first imbues their victim with a cursed kiss. Once kissed, this person will be doomed to die.

It isn't stated that the entity dealing the curses and murdering people is male or female but the official promo trailers showcase women being attacked, hinting that the creature Sam and Dean will fight in this episode is akin to an Incubus of some sorts, a demon that sexually draws in its victims before murdering them or stealing their life energy.

There is also a quick shot in the trailer where one of the brothers is kissed by an unidentified female, hinting that at least one of them will be cursed and become a marked target for whatever kind of creature is commiting the murders. This also hints that the creature may be able to alter its appearance to be either male or female.

As pointed out in the report, "Supernatural" is one of the few series currently airing that do not heavily rely on a love story for the main protagonists. Both Sam and Dean tend to have short relationships, often lasting only for an episode, and it is likely that any romantic fling introduced in this episode will be done with quickly.

The report also states that Amara (Emily Swallow) doesn't count, despite her hold on Dean, because the two are not really romantically involved and are simply bound by the Darkness's powers.

"Supernatural" season 11 episode 13, "Love Hurts," will air this Feb. 10.
