More information about the most evil antagonist that the Winchester brothers will have to face in the entire run of "Supernatural" have been revealed by the main cast of the series during the recently concluded 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.

Actors Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Mischa Collins all spoke individually with Comic Book Resources after the panel presentation of the series at the SDCC. They all discussed what the Darkness can do to wreak havoc, and how the Winchesters and their allies can defeat it.

Padalecki, the actor who portrays the role of younger Winchester brother Sam, shared that the demon-hunting brothers will once again work together after being separated by the Mark of Cain during the previous season. This time, they will fight side by side against the unknown force of the Darkness.

"Even though they don't know what the Darkness is, it's pre-biblical. It predates God and Castiel and Crowley. They are completely out of their world, but they are there together. That's super-cool for me. I am a brother, so is Jensen. I have two sons. Now, the brothers are a team again," Padalecki said.

Collins also talked about the united front that the Winchesters and his character Castiel will portray to beat the Darkness, saying, "This season is going to be reuniting us against a big bad, which is something we've done before, but it's changing it up and giving us a new focus. That's going to be great."

Ackles, who plays Sam's older brother Dean, talked about the possibility of the having Jeffrey Dean Morgan back in the show to reprise his role as their father John. Morgan's character constantly appears in the series, and fans are wondering if he will also appear in season 11.

"He really just enjoys the set and the family and the story and his role within that story. He's always been, 'Hey, if I'm available, can I come back?'" the actor said.

"Supernatural" season 11 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 7, on The CW.
