Supernatural Season 10 is scheduled to air on January 20, 2015 on the CW, kicking off the show with a pilot episode titled "The Hunter Games".

The episode kicks off from the season 10 fall finale where Castiel (Misha Collins) was able to track down Claire Novak. He called on Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for aid but things didn't pan out as smoothly.

Dean, who still had the mark of Cain, was left in the middle of a bloody mess. Prior to that, Dean had already instructed Castiel to do whatever means necessary should his nightmares come true. But it remains to be seen if Castiel would indeed heed Dean's instructions.

Aside from that, some other scenes include this one from hell where Crowley was talking with his mother Rowena. Rowena was able to free herself from the chains and will most probably cause more trouble as the storyline evolves.

As the show returns, research continues to find a way to get rid of the Mark of Cain. But with the Men of Letters proving to be no help at all, a new kind of approach and strategy may be forthcoming. And apparently that alternative is something that Sam calls the "single worst idea" of Castiel.

Castiel is expected to be put in a spot as he tries to help Dean while at the same time get to know more about Claire. The kicker here is that Claire wants revenge on Dean who is responsible for killing her friend.

Written by Eugenie Ross-Leming and Brad Buckner and directed by John Badham, here is the official description of "The Hunter Games":

"THE AFTERMATH — After the massacre at the ranch, Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) double their efforts to find a cure for the Mark of Cain but there is nothing in the lore that can help them. Desperate, Castiel comes up with an idea that Sam deems the "single worst idea I've ever heard." Meanwhile, Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) continues to plot against Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and Castiel tries to mend his relationship with Claire (guest star Kathryn Love Newton) who is plotting revenge against Dean for killing her friend."
