Imagination will run wild in the upcoming episode of the long-running The CW series "Supernatural," as the Winchester brothers face their long-lost childhood friends.

After their Thanksgiving hiatus, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will purportedly be reunited with someone very dear. Comicbook Movie reports that in "Just My Imagination," this blast from the past will mystify Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Sully (Nate Torrence), Sam's imaginary friend, will pay him a visit. While this, in itself, is surprising enough, the fact that other people also start seeing theirs is worrying. What can the previously invisible pals be doing in the real world?

Sully was the imaginary friend that Sam conjured to keep him company while Dean and his dad were off hunting ghosts and dark creatures. Apparently, the little man has come to ask for help. A mysterious creature has been targeting and killing the imaginary beings. As Sully says in the promo released for episode 8, it is definitely a bloodbath out there.

Sam and Dean have their work cut out for them, as it becomes apparent that Sully is not the only one who fear for his life. One by one, the creatures fall prey to a killer with a wicked-looking dagger. Viewers see a mermaid and a unicorn being slaughtered. A girl even has the misfortune of finding her bestie dead in the bedroom. Who is the murderer and why is he targeting the cute and the defenseless?

Meanwhile, Sully's arrival means getting a glimpse of Sam when he was still a kid. Viewers can expect that there will be flashbacks in this episode, as it will be shown when Sam started to see Sully. Their antics together must be interesting to witness. After trying to cope with being alone all the time, it must have been a blast for the young Sam to finally have someone to talk and play with. But now that he is older, will his experience with Sully still be as exciting?

"Supernatural" will return from its short break on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
