Supernatural Season 11's release date has yet to be announced. Information regarding the new season's plot details are currently very scarce. Nonetheless, some of the recent updates concerning the show may prove to be interesting to fans.

An official preview of Supernatural's upcoming season is set to be released on July 12 during Comic-Con, which will be held in San Diego, CA. The new season's release date may also be announced during the said event.

In an article published by TV Line, Jared Padalecki, Mark Sheppard, Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles will appear on Comic-Con as part of the Supernatural panel. The cast, along with Jeremy Carver, the show's executive producer, are scheduled to host a video presentation that highlights events within the series and answer questions from the audience. The appearance is part of the show's promotion for "Supernatural: The Complete Tenth Season DVD and Bluray."

Note that season 10 was released last October 7, 2014; season 9 was on October 8 of the previous year. Granted the current timeline, a release on the same date this year is warranted and logical. However, the official confirmation will come on July 12, something the fans must watch out for.

On more recent events, a few hours prior to the posting of this article, Jim Michaels, the show's producer, tweeted, "Packing my bags right now to travel back to Vancouver tomorrow morning to start prep on Season 11 of #Supernatural -- #SPNfamily."

Michaels is known for his regular updates through twitter regarding the new season's status and progress. Last June 16, the producer posted that the show has officially started the production phase of the new season. "Office officially open for season 11. Looking for the first QOTD for the board. Suggestions welcome, " tweeted Michaels. Together with the post, he also uploaded a whiteboard snapshot, which reflects the production progress at the time it was posted.
