Crowley (Mark Sheppard) will be seeing someone from his past, and they might be up to more than walking down memory lane. Meanwhile, season 12 of "Supernatural" is expected to be the last installment of the series.

In "Supernatural" season 12, Lucifer will inhabit the body of a rock star named Vince Vicente, who will be played by Rick Springfield. According to TV Line, Lucifer has finally found a vessel that people worship, something that he thinks God got right.

While he enjoys being showered with adoration, Vicente/Lucifer gets involved with someone from Crowley's past. According to Entertainment Weekly, this person is Russel Lemmons — to be played by Kadeem Hardison — "a music industry mogul" who has big plans for Vicente's future.

It is expected that Crowley will face Lemmons and rehash old conflicts on his hunt to capture Lucifer. It is also speculated that Lemmons will help Lucifer rule the world and make it harder for Crowley and the rest to bring Lucifer back to his cage.

"Supernatural" season 12 already has a lot of adventures in store for Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), but according to Movie News Guide, some recent events point out that this might be the last installment of the series.

In the season 11 finale, Chuck (Rob Benedict) and Amara (Emily Swallow) – God and the Darkness, the creator and the destroyer – have already made up, and no bigger threat can endanger the world anymore.

Also in the finale, Sam and Dean's mom — Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) — has returned. Although it appears that she is down and ready to fight off demons, Mary initially wants to live a normal life, and she would want the same for her boys after all that they have been through.

Are Sam and Dean's demon-fighting and end-of-the-world-stopping days over?

At least for now it's not, since the Winchesters still have to worry about Lucifer who has escaped from his cage. The brothers also have to deal with the Men of Letters, who plan to bring Hitler back to life.

"Supernatural" season 12 premieres Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
