After the exciting and action-packed events that happened during the previous season, fans of "Supernatural" are expecting to see more breathtaking adventures when the series returns for season 12 on Oct. 13.

During the season 11 finale, it was teased that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) mother Mary (Samantha Smith) could possibly return next season. But the series did not confirm if the Winchester matriarch could be seen with her sons when it returns this fall.

Actor Misha Collins also dropped a little hint about what fans should look forward to in "Supernatural" season 12 when he was interviewed by Bustle. According to the actor, the series hired a new cast member for the upcoming season, but the actor chose not to divulge it just yet.

"I know one person who's been hired in Season 12, but I can't tell you. I'm sorry to be completely useless there, but I do know that their character is going to be on the show," the actor said.

The actor also mentioned how he wants to see his character Castiel when the series returns next season. According to Collins, it would be interesting to see the Castiel that was presented in season 4.

"The writers keep inhibiting Cas' powers in some way or another," the actor said. "Sam and Dean don't have this magic bullet they can solve all their problems. I would love it if there was a little stretch where he could possibly be the powerful ally that he was and just play it a little bit before somehow hobbling him again. It's been awhile since Cas has been just the ally at full power that he once was."

Other reports claimed that fans are looking forward to see more of Chuck (Rob Benedict) and his fallen sister Amara (Emily Swallow) when "Supernatural" season 12 premieres in October.
